*UPDATE to the post from yesterday regarding the CCJHA Girls 19U team and their state championship they earned over the weekend. Congratulations again to Chassell's Sylvia Aho and Jordan Holombo, along with the rest of their team! We're learning there will be a "Welcome Home" parade/escort for the team as they arrive back to the Copper Country this evening. Around 7:00 pm, the parade will begin in Chassell at the school and continue north on U.S. 41. Please feel free to come on out to the school parking lot or consider catching the parade on the main street of Chassell or somewhere along the route to give the team a wave and showing of support. From yesterday: STATE CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to Chassell's own Sylvia Aho and Jordan Holombo, along with the rest of their teammates on the CCJHA's Girls 19U team (Harter Auto Supply), for winning the 2025 State Championship!

💙💛 Our inaugural Winterfest turned out to be a great success! Lots of fun and smiles! From the delicious chili, hot cocoa and marshmallows by the campfire, to the snowshoe trail, sledding, and other outdoor fun, we extend our deepest thanks to those who took part! And to our many volunteers, including PATT Group leadership, members, Chassell staff, parents, and students who helped take vision to reality, thank you for your acts of service! Event sponsors, thank you for your generous contributions that helped to offset costs so the PATT Group can help to fund more initiatives and opportunities for our students. Of the many positive points to emphasize in reflecting on events like this, pausing to recognize the good in what comes from working together to provide fun experiences that will turn into great memories for kids is heartwarming! 💙💛 PC for some photos: Christy Kilpela
